Brhlovce, Slovakia: Living in rock dwellings

Similar to Turkish Cappadocia or British Kinver Edge, Slovakia has its own rock dwellings in small village Brhlovce.
Except for museum, there are still many rock dwellings inhabitated. But make no mistake - though living in rock or cave sounds primitive, people living here have everything they need - TV and water, small garden on roofs and moreover - lower electricity bills! Rock provides great climate - stable temperature (17-20 C degrees) and stable humidity ( 80-90%).
The area has so much to offer - historic city of Levice, thermal spa in Dudince or UNESCO city Banska Stiavnica close by.
So what cought my eye in Brhlovce?

My Winter Trip Tip - Tatra Mountains, Slovakia

I love wandering around the world, but Christmas season is meant to be spent home. Thus I travelled just 4 hours away from my city - Bratislava to Slovak mountains - Vysoke Tatry (High Tatras) to have some fun and relax.
Slovakia was recently featured as TOP winter destination by Lonely Planet and it's tourism and hospitality is rapidly improving. Unlike Austrian or Italian winter spots, Vysoke Tatry are less crowded, cheaper and more friendly. And let's not pretend - it's more adventourus for newbies to Eastern Europe (in a good sense - adventure means more fun, right? :-)
I spent my vacation warming myself with famous local liquor Tatra Tea, riding snow scooter and light hiking (my recently broken toe didn't help).
Snow lasts until april, so you have plenty of time to pay a visit ;-)
